Cheese! Contemporary Art nasce dalla necessità di scoprire, leggere e mostrare le creazioni contemporanee, parlando direttamente con gli artefici, gli ideatori, gli artisti, Maestri o giovani leve.

Di’ Cheese!, per un’istantanea.

L’arte contemporanea è ora, e domani può essere solo passato o fare la storia. Orientarsi tra le tante tendenze internazionali è un’impresa colossale, ci vuole naso, spirito critico, e consapevolezza che le strade sono diverse, a volte parallele, senza un punto d’arrivo – di certo c’è solo il viaggio.

Quello che cerco nell’arte attuale è una solida fluidità. Apertura all’interazione. Sono per un’arte che racconti, senza essere didascalica, e che lasci spazio a un racconto personale, oltre a quello proprio dell’artista.

Quello che cerco nell’arte attuale è che sia sibillina. Che dia spazio all’immaginazione, e al contempo dia letture sul passato recente fino all’oggi con chiavi trasversali.

Sono per un’arte aperta, pubblica, che migliori la vita, almeno nello spirito. Sono per un’arte che ti fa accorgere che ti sei fermato se vai di corsa, o che ti muove dentro se ti senti fermo.

Con Cheese! Contemporary Art andrò mettendo tanti sassolini uno dietro l’altro. Ogni sassolino è un’opera, un momento, un’azione, un progetto, un artista. Per ogni sassolino una riflessione, anzi… tre, due, uno: Cheese!

Contemporary art, while currently embodying the present, will very likely one day be regarded as the past, establishing itself as a part of history.

Orienting oneself amid the many international trends can be challenging. Reasoned critique and a sense of awareness are necessary to navigate these different and often parallel paths, realizing that in most cases there will be no exact destination – the only certainty is the journey.

What I am looking for in contemporary art is a solid fluidity, an openness towards interaction. I believe in a narrative form of art that allows personal recollection to roam free, reaching beyond the artist’s own experience and viewpoint.

What I am looking for in contemporary art is a visionary quality that leaves room to the imagination but at the same time offers different intersecting keys for interpreting both the past and the present.

I believe in a form of art that is open, accessible and public, that improves everyday life. I believe in a form of art that stops you in your tracks during the daily rush while at the same time moving your emotions when numb and inert.

With Cheese! Contemporary Art I am laying down one pebble at a time, creating a path across the field of contemporary art. Each pebble is an artwork, an artist, a moment, an action and a project, offering a chance to immerse in reflection and thought.
